ANOTHER HOLLYWOOD ROMANCE

ANOTHER HOLLYWOOD ROMANCE

SUNSET GOWER

A girl. A girl at Sunset Gower Studios with a few trickling tears. Heading out on a trip for a comforting quad latte. Ready to order, she lowers her sunglasses. Ray Bans. The new smaller version at $120 are $118 over the $2 version she bought in Spain's version of a mall. (They look f....king identical. She's an idiot.) The Starbucks barista - Romeo - tells her she has beautiful eyes. Asks if they are grey-blue. ... She is stunned by his forwardness... Her mouth parts into agape... Her eyes dart into nether regions - the green of his apron and... all the onlookers... Witnesses to the stirrings of the barista when it's such a private moment only two reality tv stars should endure an invasion of. The soulful brown eyes of Barista-Romeo are overshadowed only by his firm grip on her debit card. She's dreaming impossible dreams. She may never have to pay for the extra shot again. She answers him, her chest heaving undeniable reciprocation, "they are green actually." Starbucks-Romeo rings her up, asks if she needs a receipt. There's a longing in his voice. Weakly, she responds "No." She leaves, improbably, without her 5 packets of raw sugar. She lingers outside, faithful that he is going to throw his apron off and race to her, just him and his 6 packets. An extra one just in case. Another Hollywood Romance....
